A Quick Guide to Outdoor Heating

The evenings are closing in and it’s getting a lot colder outside, but that’s no excuse to retreat inside at this time of year.

Can you think of a better way of spending your evenings than with a drink around a fire with friends and family? Chimineas are great for cooler evenings, but something a little smaller might be better suited for the colder autumn and winter months. Outdoor heating is available in a wide variety of products so its good to know what your buying and how that product benefits your given space.

Sitting around an open fire is many people’s idea of a perfect evening. A recent study has shown why we find it so therapeutic. Its not just mentally we feel relaxed, studies show that by staring at an open fire our blood pressure reduces by up to 5%! The longer we sit watching the flames the more our bodies benefit. Studies say that modern day humans’ relaxing response to fire is evolutionary and that the longer people watch the fire, the more relaxed and sociable they become. Fire is an element we have relied upon for thousand of years so why not continue to use it for our own positive mental state.
