Ways to build activity into your busy daily routine

Running, cycling, swimming, yoga or boxing are activities that you can easily build into your busy daily routine. Running is an effective and straightforward way of exercising and fast walking is easy to fit into and around your hectic routine. Whether its walking to work, doing exercise in your lunch break or getting off the bus a few stops earlier on the way home from work!
To stay healthy or to improve health, adults are recommended to do two types of physical activity each week: aerobic and muscle-strengthening activity. Adults should try to be active daily and do: at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) of moderate-intensity aerobic activity such as cycling or fast walking every week and muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week that work all major muscle groups (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)
